Lorie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with more than 21 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a multitude of settings and needs.
Her interventions focus on client’s strengths, and sessions are collaborative and non-judgmental. The core of any therapeutic relationship is based on a trusting and empathic connection between client and therapist; to this end she brings warmth and humor to her work: positive, present-focused and supporting self-acceptance, a basis for all positive changes and growth.
Lorie has been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and HeartMath, a biofeedback program for managing stress. Additionally she has received certification in hypnotherapy and Rapid Resolution Therapy. She believes one size does not fit all and has found that combining these various perspectives is an effective way to support clients in making significant and positive changes in their lives more quickly.
Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) is an innovative therapeutic approach to resolving emotional and behavioral difficulties. RRT works with the understanding that the subconscious controls emotions, desires, memory, habits, thoughts, dreams and automatic responses. One may consciously understand the value of eliminating problematic emotions, thoughts or behaviors but unless the subconscious mind is reached, enduring change is unlikely. By engaging the subconscious mind and eliminating the ongoing influence from troubling past events, blocked energy is released, healing takes place, and change results. Negative habits and painful emotions are replaced by positive actions and feelings of well-being. Some people experience significant changes within a couple of appointments. HLCC therapist Lorie Jendryka is one of only eighteen certified Rapid Resolution Therapy practitioners in Illinois. HeartMath created technology (biofeedback) based on heart-brain-body research designed to balance our physical, mental and emotional systems resulting in better management of stress, increased resilience and promotion of positive emotional states.
